BACKGROUND:

Iganga Vocational Training Institute (IVTI) was founded in 1999 to train School Leavers ('O and A' Level), drop outs from Primary Seven - Senior Three and those who would like to upgrade their standards for better career opportunitities and promotions.

VISION:

To be a centre of Academic and Moral Excellence.

MISSION:

To ensure sustainable development, poverty alleviation in the communities by equipping them with professional and Technical skills for self reliance as per our ' MOTTO' (Education for self reliance).

OBJECTIVES:

1. To provide the highest possible level of Training in Business and Technical Courses at affordable cost.
2. To become Government partners in its effort to train the big number of drop outs estimated at 30% resulting from UPE (Universal Primary Education) Programme.
3. Through ethical training to encourage the development of a sense of responsibility, consciousness, work habits and accuracy.
